Jayson
Playing lots of pickleball, golfing, and fishing pain free.

“I was pretty athletic and competed in athletics all the way up until 35/36. I was playing international level racquetball. Then Covid happened. I put on some extra weight, and then everything started deteriorating from there.”
Jayson started having some back, hip, and leg pain. After a while he went to the ortho to get it checked out. The ortho just told him to rest and prescribed him some pain pills. They helped with the pain, but Jayson doesn’t like taking medication and he knew they were just a band-aid, not an actual solution.
After a few months of no progress, he started looking for something different and saw one of Ninja Physio’s posts about pain and not using medication, so he scheduled a consult with Dr. Lily. She explained what was going on and went over the game plan that would address the core problems and not just the pain.
After a few sessions, the pain was gone. As an added bonus, the general stiffness in his neck, which he just sort of dealt with day-to-day, was gone, too. He also had more energy. He stopped taking the pain meds.
Not only that, he was also stronger and could squat deeper. He was able to do 36″ box jumps, which previously would’ve been impossible.
Before Ninja Physio, Jayson would play pickleball for 30-45 minutes before the pain started kicking in. Then he’d push through the pain for another two hours. Now, He plays pickleball four/five times a week, 4-5 hours each time, with no issues. The max time he used to play is now his minimum.
“I’ve been noticing my footwork is getting a little better. I’m not as lazy because I’m not babying my leg. So I’m getting some more shots that I wouldn’t have gotten before. I’m getting quicker, and kind of want to push myself to the next level in the game.”

He’s also playing more golf, with more distance on his drives and irons due to being stronger.
“The extra energy comes from not being constantly stressed over the pain. Pain can drain you, not just physically, but mentally. And if you’re not worried about the pain, then you can be stress free. You don’t have that added stress of, ‘Am I going to hurt myself on this next play?”‘
“I’m probably feeling better than when I did since I was like in my 20s. It was probably in my mid 20s when I started discovering pain from playing. And I feel like I’m in my 20s before I understood playing with pain.”
“Conquer pain is the perfect slogan for Ninja Physio because if you engage in the program and you stay with it, you’re going to conquer pain. It’s almost a guarantee. Do what she tells you to do, when she tells you to do it, how often she tells you to do it, and then the pain goes away.”
“I feel like I’ve conquered pain. I see some of the older players here, and I’m saying to myself, yeah, when I’m their age I’m going to be playing, too, and I’m not going to be feeling it, because I understand the things that I need to do to maintain my body to keep it strong enough to play the way I want to play.”
